# How do I generate 3D from an image?

Drop a reference image into Hydrilla. BlueFox 1 builds a mesh that tracks silhouette and materials, then you export the same GLB, FBX, OBJ, or USDZ path.

Upload a reference still. BlueFox 1 uses the image as input so the generated mesh tracks silhouette, materials, and style instead of guessing from a prompt alone. Then you preview and export the same way as text-to-3D.

## What does a good reference look like?

A clear subject, simple background, and readable silhouette. Product photos and concept paintings work. Lighting in the source can bias materials. Multiple views are not required.

## Can I add a prompt too?

Yes. A short production note (engine, scale, export target) plus a still is often better than either input alone.

## What is the export path?

Preview in the browser, then GLB, FBX, OBJ, or USDZ. Continue in Unity, Unreal, or Blender as you would with any block-in. See [export formats](/blog/export-formats) and [how BlueFox works](/blog/how-bluefox-works).
